Heading back from Comic-Con now. Its my second year to go and this year I was not as overwhelmed with all the geeky wonderfulness. It was still geeky and wonderful, but I managed to form more coherent thoughts than just "OMG!! Everything is awesome!!" I therefore was able to realize that there were many artists on site who wouldn't mind having their picture taken.

I fired up the Marvel Database and got the list of Staff Image Needed and compared it to the list of artists in Artists Alley. I overcame my fear and managed to get photos and permission to post from 30 different artists that we are missing on the site.

I plan on writing them a thank you email and pointing them to their page on our site. All of them have existing pages except Buzz Dixon, so we need to get that up and running. I will post the sample email here first so that the group can decide on proper wording. I would love to see more creators visiting our site and giving their feedback.

Moving slowly on this...I started a new job this week.

Been looking at some of the pictures you've been uploading. Is it just me, or is Mike Choi not entirely thrilled? Norm Rapmund seems to love it, but Mike Choi...just does not look like a happy camper.

Yeah, some of them were confused about what I was asking. No one said no (although Jerry Bingham said he wouldn't pose, but I could take a candid shot) but some had an odd look on their faces when I took the pictures. Maybe they were disappointed that I wasn't buying a sketch...
